Space Sweepers (Korean: ; Hanja: ; RR: Seungriho; lit. Spaceship Victory) is a space western film directed by Jo Sung-hee and starring Song Joong-ki, Kim Tae-ri, Jin Seon-kyu, and Yoo Hae-jin.[2] On February 5, 2021, it was published straight on Netflix globally as the first Korean cinematic space blockbuster[3].[4][5]
Premise
Tae-ho, Captain Jang, Tiger Park, and an android named Bubs are a crew of space sweepers who live on an orbiting planet established by the UTS business when Earth becomes inhospitable in the year 2092. During their labour, the crew discovers Dorothy, a kid robot with a weapon of mass devastation built by the terrorist group "Black Fox." They arrange a ransom for Dorothy's return, but their plot is thwarted when UTS forces slaughter the club where the exchange was scheduled to take place. The crew must handle the perilous circumstances while simultaneously coping with personal issues.
